SCOPE OF PAIN
Only an estimated 1 in 4 of those with pain report proper treatment. More than 20 percent of Americans ages 60 and over have chronic pain due to arthritis, other joint pain or back pain.
More than 50 million American suffer from chronic pain and nearly 25 million Americans experience acute pain each year due to injuries or surgeries.
More than half of the workforce surveyed, (52.7%), reported having headaches, backache arthritis, or other musculoskeletal pain in the last 2 weeks. 12.7% of the workforce surveyed lost productive time in a two week period due to pain.
